Hello, and welcome to my corner of the internet! You're probably thinking, "Who is this guy?" Well..

I'm Umut — technologist, designer and maker.

I build because I love my craft.

If there's a better way, I will find it. It could be a product that doesn't exist yet or an idea that no one's tried (maybe). Sometime's it's a brand that feels just dope.

I'm a big picture thinker. I like to zoom out; jump back in to get my hands dirty; Repeat.

Curiosity is what drives me. I like to ask a lot of questions and listen. I like to sit with people who want to push ideas forward and explore what's possible while shipping things that matter to them and for the people that end up using them.

I've worked across a range of organisations and cultures, from London to Sydney, and that breadth has shaped how I operate. I pick things up fast, adapt quickly, and know how to get to impact.

I enjoy learning from anyone — old or young, experienced or not — because good ideas can come from anywhere. As a senior, I bring not only the judgement and experience to lead, but also the curiosity and openness to collaborate and grow with the people around me.

Giving back is just as important. Whether it's mentoring, sharing tools and ideas, or supporting colleagues, I aim to share what I've learned and help others reach their best.

My thoughts on AI? I love it! I see it less as “tech” and more as a lever. Cursor + Codex are my go to tools. But I also brainstorm with it, I dive deep with it to understand better, I collaborate and to test wild ideas without waiting for permission or someone's opinion (which is usually my partner and she's bored of me now!).

I've always felt AI is not about replacing people with AI but actually, it's about expanding what we can do together with it.
