For partners, investors and operators

Call me when something needs turning into a real product.

I work with founders and operators who need senior product and engineering capability but aren’t ready to hire a team. I take an unclear opportunity or expensive business problem through to working software.

  1. 01

A venture needs becoming a product

A founder has validated an interesting proposition but lacks the senior product capability to turn it into serious software.

I decide what the product should be, test the key assumptions, set the technical approach and build the first credible version.

  2. 02

A business problem should become software

An established business has an expensive operational problem being held together by people, spreadsheets and disconnected systems.

I investigate the workflow, find the real constraint and build the system, automation or AI capability that should replace it.

  3. 03

The answer is not “hire an agency”

The opportunity is real, but it is too early or ambiguous to assemble an agency or full product team around it.

I work across business, product, design and engineering, so you learn what is worth building before adding people.

Good fit

  • An important problem without an obvious product answer
  • Direct access to decision-makers and operational knowledge
  • Enough commercial value to justify building something properly
  • A need for senior judgement as well as implementation
  • A defined engagement, discovery period or product outcome

Not what I offer

  • Commodity website development
  • Staff augmentation
  • A team of outsourced developers
  • SEO or content services
  • Cheap, specification-led MVP delivery
  • Open-ended technical support

No detailed brief needed. Two or three sentences about the business, the situation and why it matters are enough to start.

Or send it to me directly—happy to talk before either of us decides there is an engagement.

Umut is a senior product engineer who works directly with founders and operators, taking unclear opportunities and expensive business problems through to working software. I thought of him because [brief reason].
